taking something like Emergen-C before bed will help keep cortisol levels in check (via Robb Wolf)

Re: To those who do IF...

I've been eating from 8 am to 2-3 pm every day & then fasting till next breakfast for almost a year now 6 days a week (I have dinner on Saturday nights - my cheat day).

I also weigh & measure all my food (except for cheat days). My performance is good & I'm ready to go into the Southeast Regionals this weekend to put it to the test.

Mike, What's the BCAA mixture you use? Is that along the lines of lean gains?

yup, I use Purple Wraath because it's what Martin (LeanGains) recommended. It has Beta Alanine in it as well.

Re: To those who do IF...

If you read MDA or the Primal Blueprint, Mark Sisson is very big on eating when your body tells you, and I follow a very similar path. I don't really plan any of my fasts (once or twice a month I'll do a 24 hour fast), and listen to my body. Some days this means going 12 hours without food, some days 16, some days 20. When its time to break my fast, I do.

As long as you're listening to your body and making sure you're hitting the protein requirement, you shouldn't have to put much thought into IF. Just see what works for you and go with that.
