Sorry, I didn't mean support the idea of growing fruit/vegetable variety. I meant does the bulk of the landmass support the growing of a variety of fruits/veggies.

In areas where wheat is the main crop, I'm wondering what other options farmers have?

Using the same logic, I propose that strawberry icecream is a fruit.

There are ads on tv here recommending everyone get 2 fruit and 5 veg per day.
2 serves of strawberry icecream
5 pizzas.
