Paleo Help

Ok im in college and ive been doin the zone and crossfit for about 6 months and its awesome, but i want to switch to a paleo diet.

So heres my question,

I know that i eat: meat, veggies, berries nuts (no peanuts or cashews) and fats are the main source of energy, but im just lost as to what exactly this means....Im sure i sound like a moron but i guess im lookin for a meal plan type thing for paleo like there is for the zone in journal 21.

some example shoppin lists would help too and dont get stingy in need details

About 3/4 down there is a entry on zone. It has a 16 and 10 block meal plan that is paleo zone. He also has some pretty good recipes. Check out the PM boards too.

one more thing
would tomato soup be considered paleo
cuz i love that stuff
and its cheap

You know, if youre in this for the long haul, and i hope you are, you had better start educating yourself on what the stuff you put in your body is made of.

Meat = Well, meat...including Beef/Chicken/Lamb/Fish....
Veggies = Mostly all the green stuff, you cant go wrong...unless its a bean.
Nuts = you got it right.
Some fruit = Dont go overboard, the cavemen most likely would not have had fruit year round. So dont go gorging yourself on fruit, but enjoy it as dessert or something.

IMO Paleo is easier to explain when talking about the things you CANT eat vs CAN eat.

Stay Away from ANY processed foods.
Added Sugar = NO
Starch = NO (i.e. potatoes)
Beans = NO
Grain/Cereals = NO (Rice/Wheat/Barley/Oats/corn/etc)

Im not bustin' your balls or anything, but i like to see people succeed, and that will come true if you educate yourself. Relying on others to tell you what to eat and why might get you somewhere in the short term, but in the long run youre gonna need to know for yourself.

Give a man a fish, and he eats for a night. Teach him to fish and he eats forever.

Or something to that effect heheh.
