See what the lifeguard says when you bring in an oly bar and weights into the pool area to do snatches every other lap.

Hahah...Don, she said "No." Then she gave me a 10 lb weight to help with equipment retrieval exercises.

Hey that gives me a good idea for a Crossfit style pool workout. Throw a 45lb bumper plate into the pool then bring it back to the surface and place it into the gutter, repeat. Just not sure what chlorine will do to bumper plates.

They actaully used a 10kg rubber coated bumper as a weight when they used to do HUET training at the pool i work at Rubber was fine,Iron core wasn't by the end of it, :doh:,butit took about 2 years of 5 days a weeks before the rust started to show through

I haven't done it, and I can't claim it as my own invention, but a colleague of mine has a workout called "Swim Joshy Otter."

It is 8 rounds (for time) of:

Swim 2 laps
30 2-Handed KB Swings
30 Pushups

Have fun.
