What do you guys think of the sport of squash? I've heard a lot of good things about it in relation to fitness. Any downsides? I think it's way more fun than sprinting intervals and am about to add it to my regular fitness tools.

I used to play squash everyday with my roommate in college. Loved it. Neither one of us was really any good, but it was fun.

Keeps your reflexes sharp, that's for sure!

I prefer racquetball because the ball moves so much faster. But they're both fun games.

Downsides? Sometimes the person in the court with you might not be as spatially aware as you are... Getting a racquet in the face or the junk is definitely a downside.

I played squash recreationally in college -- I really, really stank but it was fun.

However, this was 20 years ago -- the old American "hardball" game. I found a soft English-type ball at some point and never could enjoy it as much.

Great sport, but make sure you have the right footware so you don't twist and ankle or mess up your knees. I spend a month in a cast when I twisted my ankle playing in running shoes because I forgot my court shoes one day and still wanted to play.
