Just Another Log

Objectives:
1. Increase strength, speed and agility
2. Decrease body fat
3. Be able to do cool CrossFit stuff

Stats:
Gender: Male
Age: 44
Height: 73"
Weight: 225#
Body fat: ?
CFT: 710# (tested 30MAY08)

No place to go but up, unless we're talking about body fat!

Couldn't get to the WOD so worked on weakness instead.

I've begun zoning and already see that it will be a challenge. My eating habits have always left a bit to be desired. I'm watching the Crossfit Santa Cruz site for inspiration.

Scaled today's WOD while I await the arrival of Starting Strength later this week.

I kicked off my first SS cycle using my CFT numbers from May 30 as reference. I didn't have a current test 1RM bench so ballparked it and overshot. So, I now have a 1RM bench and it's lower than my best guess, so the workout underwent a minor adjustment!

The squat and deadlift sets seemed to be dialed right in. I could finish the sets, but wasn't exactly looking for more, if you know what I mean.

SS Session #2 is in the bag. The squats were fun on tired legs, but the weight went up. Sore wrists from the pclean, but now they're feeling fine. Flexibility in the rack needs to improve. Heh, another saying that could be taken other ways...

Pclean 3x5 120
