I'm new to Crossfit (first week). Still going through as many old posts as I have time for.

For clarification, on a previous workout, there is a reference to 21 Kettlebell swings, 1.5 pood. It's the "1.5 pood" that has me stumped. Is that 15 pounds?

As well, do we/should we use weights on the walking lunge?

Also, on yesterdays deadlift, Deadlift 3-2-2-2-1-1-1-1-1 reps, I assume that is progressing in weight to a near max for the last one. Any clarification is appreciated.

Great bunch of people. Thanks

Hi Bill!

I'll give these a crack.....

The kettlebell swing weights are a russian from of measurement. Fora more accurate description, check out Lynne Pitts FAQ page at the top of the "friends of Crossfit" column. I think 1.5 poods is equivalent to about 24kg in weight.

walking lunge is without weight unless specified, just sink those knees down mate.

spot on with the deadlift.....

Welcome onboard..
