Re: Albany CrossFit's October Challenge
very interesting.
I think I can get this sub 10, but I need to find a way to set up a bench near a place to run. |

Re: Albany CrossFit's October Challenge
Justin,
Google Earth, Map-My-Run or Route Ruler are great ways to measure out running courses around your house. I intend to practice on the treadmill in my garage next to the bench, but for the Official Time I will run a route on the local roads starting and ending at my garage; mainly because I have no way of telling how well the T'mill is calibrated. Just a nuclear anal retention thing with me - I never trust any instrument that isn't calibrated. As for the mapped route, I trust the satellite imaging because I have verified it for known distances and it is on the punto every time! |

Re: Albany CrossFit's October Challenge
Is the order specified - Run then bench? Or can it be bench then run? I think bench first would be faster, but wanted a rules check. Thanks!

Re: Albany CrossFit's October Challenge
Run then bench...
for the record I didn't create this, it is from CrossFit's Trophy Case, but I thought it would work well this month. I am trying to keep all challenges to less than 10 minutes. That way if you follow other programs be it HQ or anything else, it won't mess up your schedule too much. |

Re: Albany CrossFit's October Challenge
Great challenge Jason. I've been wanting to try this.
I know you try to keep the weights for men and women the same in these challenges, but can we make an exception for this one? I'm not sure how strong the girls are in Albany, but 21 x bw will put all of our women well, well over the 10 minute mark. Perhaps you can make 68% of bw the standard for women? Just thoughts... |

I'll go for that Ben - 68% for women.

Bodyweight is 180, but I went 185 KISS(keep it simple stupid.) I did a mapped out run and benched in the garage. |
