manila rope

I have a manila rope that is starting to frey on the ends and in the middle where I do battle ropes. Is there a nylon sheath I can buy to make it last longer...the ends are ziptied and ducktaped and I hold on to them right above it but I need something better....any ideas? Its a 1.5 inchx60

Re: manila rope

My gym used a towel and duct tape to the middle of the rope to stop it there. I have no ideas for the ends though. As one that has CrossFit OCD I like the ends perfect and it drives me crazy when they are not.
A side note- I got some fire hose that was going to be thrown away and we have been using it. It is tough, the metal ends are still on there so they are perfect handles, we just hold the hose right above them.
