I've noticed a huge improvement between the first time I do one of the girls and the second. I think part of it is improvements in fitness, part fear of the unknown/better planning the second time around.

Besides, it's always good to get that dose of humility once in a while

Richard
Prior to performing my first Cindy, I looked at it and thought...'hmmmm...5 pullups..one a second is 5 seconds. 10 pushups...again, I can do 1 a second...15 squats...again, 1 a second. Hmmm..that's 30 seconds per round so I should be able to do 30-40 rounds!!!
HAHAHAHAHA! I did 10!!! Humbling experience!!

I 'test' our clients once a month with Cindy, and we see huge gains in performance/fitness.

I just did Cindy (scaled Mens Journal version) and did fourteen rounds. MJ suggests 3 pullups, 6 pushups,9 squats per round. I am still thrilled I found Crossfit after starting my third week of scaled WOD's. I already feel much stronger doing pushups (was doing 100 a day before I began CF), and feel much less winded in my Thai kick box class.

Zev, I think that you and I started at about exactly the same time and are trying the exact same workouts! I am also loving Crossfit, and am thankful for finding it...

First Cindy: 17 rounds, but all pullups were overhand because they were done on a thick branch of a tree

I totally know what you guys mean, prior to my first Cindy and first WOD I though "this will be a cinch! at least 20 rounds I mean at least 1 round a minute!" I ended up with a very humbling 11. Those pullups kicked my ***!

I can relate to this. On paper 'Cindy', like some of the other girls, seems to be easy. My first time up I got 9rds + 5 chins. About a month later I got 10rds + 3 chins. Those damn girls.

I had a question on the squat part of this routine. What weight are you supposed to be doing?
