Don't worry I don't have access to a reverse hyper machine so there are a couple different things you can do. RDL's are, weighted Good Mornings work. Or if you want to get creative you can take a regular/large size yoga ball, put the ball on the end of a bench-press bench lay across the top of the ball and use the vertical standards on the bench for grip and you can get a pretty similar ROM with that set-up.

Thanks for weighing in Sean, if it's "Outlaw", why moderate it in the first place?

Honestly it doesn't seem like much moderation is done in the comments, so I wouldn't think there would need to be much in a forum, even though it's a WHOLE other pickle.

Sweet, but bittersweet. I get my drywall fix by reading through comments since he doesn't blog anymore!

I have no doubt that he and Epic will be frequent forum contributors.

If you are looking for Westside Conjugate stuff Outlaw's programming, to date, is the wrong place to find it.

I've read Louie's book of methods, looked at various Westside templates online, have experience with Chris Mason's CF conjugate program, have had a number of conversations with Westside coach Rick Scarpulla, and am doing a Westside routine for upper body right now. Having that knowledge and having recorded months of Outlaw's programming I feel qualified to say that it is NOT conjugate method. Or, at least, not WESTSIDE style conjugate. He uses the term "limited conjugate", which apparently just means he sometimes won't follow a pattern with his strength lifts. OK. That's fine, I guess, but we need to not confuse that with the methods Westside Barbell uses.

I'm not knocking Outlaw, I think we can safely say it has successfully prepared more elite CFers for CF competition than any other program ever, but it's not a Westside style program at all.

Re: The Outlaw Way

Evan, I also just do GM's for hypers.

If anyone is thinking of jumping on Outlaw soon but has been humming and hawing now would be a great time to take the plunge and test it out. Crossfit Total was posted for tomorrow and it will give you a great beginning benchmark for progress down the road, not to mention the girl WODs being posted all week so far for conditioning.

David, what would make you say that it's not Westside conjugate? I have limited knowledge on westside stuff compared to you, I'm asking purely out of curiosity.

Re: The Outlaw Way

In the Doctrine Rudy says he won't prescribe things like tricep push downs and board presses to aid the bench press. Thats just an example he uses I am sure it extends to other stuff. Things like that so "limited" in certain exercise selection I suppose.
