Re: Progression on Rings

Roger's article is a great introductory article of what to do on rings.

If you were looking for a linear program, read this first and I'm sure you'll be able to come up with something.

This is by Stephen Low, who is on the forum pretty much only in the injury section these days but has a big rep here.

The gymnastics programming by Tucker or Carl are not really stand alone gymnastic programs. They are focused more as assistance programming to CrossFit programming.

Re: Progression on Rings

That reminds me, didn't Coach Sommers have some other books in the works?

Re: Progression on Rings

Pearse, Coach Sommer is currently working on getting Liquid Steel and the Handstand Chronicles as they were to be a simultaneous release.

After that, All Muscle, No Iron which focuses on advanced ring strength with the last being The Dynamic Physique which is about dynamic gymnastics strength.

Also, recently BtGB was released in PDF format on his website though I think that perhaps there was going to be a BtGB 2.0

Tuck was supposed to have a book released in Spring called Gymnos but I don't whatever came of that. Last I remember they were dealing with editing and publishing issues I thought.

Re: Progression on Rings

Very cool. I've been looking forward to Liquid Steel and The Handstand Chronicles for over 2 years now, since I first borrowed my friend's copy of Building the Gymnastic Body.

Re: Progression on Rings

As have we all. However, I decided to make going to one of the weekend seminar a priority instead of waiting on the books to come out.

Mainly, because I wanted to have a lot of that information out for myself and moreso for my gymnasts.

Need to go back when I don't feel like hanging out with friends on Memorial or Labor Day.

Re: Progression on Rings

I'd love to learn personally... If I weren't a continent or two away.
