Re: muscle up

A great trainer once told me "the world looks a whole lot different from the top of a muscle up".

Congrats.

Congrats and I'm with you, Dean! Got my first MU yesterday morning after months of failed attempts. Finally did some research, learned the proper technique then nailed it - it actually went easy! What's even better is I recorded it, as I was going to post it for technical assistance assuming I'd fail and need help with my technique. That vid went on Youtube and Facebook to all of my peeps with quickness! Especially my wife who enjoyed laughing at me flop all over the rings in my garage for the last few months lol!

There's not a drug in the world that could replicate the feeling of that first muscle-up! Keep up the good work, bro!

Re: muscle up

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Px_O5Nex9aQ

I like vids too - especially of other novices like me who scratching and clawing their way through WODs and the unique exercises.

The video was cropped to conceal the fact that I went for a double and missed it! haha! Oh well, I went back out this morning and attempted it again. Missed it twice then hit it on the third attempt. It's gonna take some practice to build the muscle memory. It's funny but when you execute the proper technique (or something close), dare I say, it's almost "easy." That said, my technique is still pretty gnarly so please feel free to chime in with some advice!

Re: muscle up

Nice Job! You did make that look pretty easy! Your garage looks like a pretty sweet set up. Im going to a local affiliate, here in Ct. I wish i had a set up at home because i would love to just go out and do skill work when i had the urge, which is all the time! haha

Well keep up the good work and you will be linking them in no time!
thanks for posting the video
