No garage. The patio is concrete. Yeah, I guess dropping bumpers in the living room not the brightest idea. Looks like I see WODs on the patio in my future. It's a good size screened in patio. The only danger is my bumpers bouncing into the pool!

oh, i'm 5' 5" ~145lbs
Coolness. Thanks.

Retrieving bumpers from the bottom of the pool could be a fantastic workout. Probably not great for the bar though.

Re: Pulled The Trigger...

I added rings, a chalk ball and a free standing pull up rig. The scaffolding type one.

What do you recommend for sandbags? The ones I see marketed are pricey.

Don't drop 230 pounds in your living room. Or basically on anything not concrete.

Re: Pulled The Trigger...

I am really curious about this freestanding pullup system Darla. I saw it when you posted it initially and it got the gears in my head spinning. The "kip test" should be interesting, please fill us in once you set it up.

re: sandbag trainers, there are numerous tutorials on here and the web on how to create DIY bags, most are fairly easy and inexpensive. I am deliberating myself on making one vs. buying one from Rogue/Muscle Driver/Again Faster.

I asked the manufacturer about kipping. He said the stand alone would not take the force by itself as it only weighs 22#. He said I could anchor it with sandbags though. Aside from that, he didn't recommend kipping as it's bad for rotator cuffs. :-) I don't Kip yet anyway. Just DH for me. I ordered some Iron Woody bands for high volume.
I will definitely give it a good review after I get it.

Yeah. I'm kinda strong :-). Its only the overhead stuff and high pulls I have to be careful with until my shoulders bounce back fully.

Re: Pulled The Trigger...

I think all I would add would be the rings (I always prefer to do ring pushups for wods instead of reguler pushups) and a kettlebell. Past that you got an awesome set up, I'm jealous!!

Rings are on the way

I already have 2 20# and 1 30# kettlebell. I'll add a heavier one from Sports Authority as well.
