Achilles Pain

For the past 2 weeks I have been working on double unders in prep for the master's XFit games (~20 mins per session daily). The last 2 times my left achilles started hurting, limiting my ability to jump, and messing up my rhythm. So, I'm icing it and taking Aleve. I'm worried about my ability to compete the May 21-22. Would kinesio tape help? PT? Acupuncture? All suggestions are welcomed.

1. Roll your plantar fascia
2. Heat and stretch your calves (not your tendon)
3. Keep stretching out the hamstrings

If they don't hurt do very slow eccentric calf raises. It may be easy to do 100+ but only do about 2-3 sets of 20. Throw in some toe raises while you're at it to hit your anterior shins.


Try not to aggravate it... if ice helps then use it.
