I.e. Chicken/meat has fat so I don't have to add the extra fat (almonds) to my meal, as I can have that fat coming from olive oil in my salad or something like that.

Can someone please provide a breakfast that allows bacon.

I'm amazed that you can eat bacon.
can't remember if I already said this but donuoirself a huge favour and listen to Robb Wolf's podcasts. Get them via his website or search for Robb Wolfnon iTunes. It's called the Paleolithic Solution and it is free and it will answer all your questions.

I started listening to these the same time I decided to start paleo, and I could never have done it without it.

And even Robb Wolf eats bacon!

Have a fattier meal for breakfast ie bacon and eggs, (I have this and an apple and a black coffee), and then have more meat and veg for your other meals. Done.

I've found getting used to just 3 good meals a day and no snacks helps keep things simple. (and no your metabolism won't stop and your muscles won't consume themselves if you go a few hours without eating!)

Hope this helps.

Yes I'm going to start listening to those sessions from Robb Wolf.

I saw a reciepe earlier, and I can't find the link I had open on my PC which is so frustrating that called for 2-3 eggs, 2-3 slices of bacon but the eggs were cooked in the bacon grease.

How bad is that for one if its even bad at all?

I think that was me. I was having 3 eggs and 2 bacon. I cook the bacon in a hot dry (no oil) pan, then cook the eggs after without adding any oil. Only takes a few minutes.

Eggs, good. Meat, good.

Is it the best breakfast in the world? I don't know.

...is it better than toast or sugary cereal! Yes.

It may seem like I'm asking a ton of questions and perhaps I am but I really just want to get to know as much as possible about this so I can complete it for 30 days and some.

Now, is that a Paleo breakfast that fits into the Paleo challenge?

And postworkout, what is good to have that fits into the strict paleo?

My box says to have chocolate milk but no dairy allowed now.

I was always bacon = fat = bad fat = bad for you so never ate it.

But now that I want to follow Paleo strictly (or as strict as I can be) am just wondering about it and some recipes I can use it for breakfast.
Well, there is no ONE Paleo diet that everyone agrees on, so "strict" is subjective.

The non-Paleo part of bacon is processing - nitrates. And, many are cured with a good amount of sugar. I eat the nitrate free, natural bacon. I also have access to local bacon, which is always fine...if you kill your own meat, you're good. This board is pretty bacon friendly in general, haha.

I eat bacon and eggs or local sausage and eggs with fruit for breakfast every day. I love when people tell me how unhealthy it is. My cholesterol is 155, and my bodyfat is pretty close to 20%.

I understand that there is 10000 different ideas of what is the perfect Paleo way so to each is own. I just want to be as close as possible to real Paleo or Paleo in general as possible.

What about instead of bacon I used homemade Italian meat (capicola)?

I will look for nitrate free, natural bacon next time I'm out.

I just want to spice up some meals and breakfast is my favourite meal so I like to start right.

Re: paleo "change your life in 30 days"

1st full day back on the Paleo bandwagon..so far so good. Tom and I spent a good part of the day doing food prep for the week. I work nights and go back to work tomorrow night so having stuff ready to go is really important.

41 days to go for my 6 week challenge!!

Re: paleo "change your life in 30 days"

Would paleo be good for a super skinny ectomorph woman who wants to gain some size? Well, I don't know if you'd call her an ectomorph because she's got a tiny little fat reserve in her stomach but she's very emaciated looking. Should I just tell her to EAT as much good, clean, unprocessed food as she can?

How many chickens did you eat?!

Beans aren't paleo.

If you want to lose fat then pwo meal should be just protein. ...if anything at all

also if adding things like butter (non paleo) make sure it's grass fed pasturised etc, eg Kerry Gold (Irish)
