And if I want to add fat just use olive oil instead?

Can I add almonds some days (1oz serving with the meal) to shake things up a bit or to calorie dense for weight loss.

I do CF 3-4 days a week and swim (not hardcore laps though) with the wife (pregnancy) 2-3 nights a week.
Paleo doesn't break things down like the Zone...unless you are Zoning Paleo, which some people do. So, eat real food when you're hungry.

You can eat meat, veggies, fruit, nuts, seeds and oil in whatever amounts you like, but you may need to tweak things depending on how you feel and what results you see. Coconut oil on veggies is another good way to add fat. I eat a lot of fruit, which works for me but not everyone. And, as of this week, I am really trying to up my fat to stabilize my weight loss. I have allowed nitrate-free bacon all along because I was getting so much fat from cheese before, and I just added coconut milk for extra fat this weekend. I started tracking with FitDay to see where I'm at. This is what I've eaten so far today:

And I'm trying to LOSE so I am limiting fruit and nuts/fats. Usually I eat 5x a day and all of my meals include protein. I usually include a little extra fat with my vegetables.

I guess then when I misunderstand is that you don't need the extra fat.

I.e. Chicken/meat has fat so I don't have to add the extra fat (almonds) to my meal, as I can have that fat coming from olive oil in my salad or something like that.

Can someone please provide a breakfast that allows bacon.

I'm amazed that you can eat bacon.

Depends upon which Paleo guru you follow. At my gym, we are following The Paleo Diet, which calls for low fat cuts of meat. But bacon is tasty.

I just saw a reciepe from sonofgrok that looked tasty and it called for bacon.

So what types of cuts of meats are you allowed from you gym.

Is this a possible breaky then?

2-3 eggs, 2-3 slices bacon, some mixed berries?

Yeah, Primal Blueprint allows more fat and some salt, and I believe unlimited eggs. Go ahead, eat bacon.

Primal Blueprint - ? Looks like I have some reading to do.

I just want to follow the Paleo and not make it to complicated.

But i see all these recipes with bacon in them and they are so called Paleo ones so I want to be sure.

Different schools of thought. Read up and see what you can make work for you.

Re: paleo "change your life in 30 days"

I don't like salty foods as it is so that's not an issue for me.

I was just seeing if I can incorporate some bacon every once and a while that's all.

I was always bacon = fat = bad fat = bad for you so never ate it.

But now that I want to follow Paleo strictly (or as strict as I can be) am just wondering about it and some recipes I can use it for breakfast.

Calogero - maybe try some lean turkey bacon?

I'm doing an eight week challenge with my affiliate, so I'm in too. Started a few days ago (Sat, Jan 9). I used to drink a lot, but really tapered off in the last year. I have had all of two beers since Aug 1, so no big deal there. Giving up grains will be much more of a challenge b/c it's so easy to make a sandwich.
