Crystal light and Irritable Bowel Syndrome ?

Hi all. Just wondering if Crystal Light may be a reason for my irritation which started yesterday? I drink a lot of it, and it has never really caused any problems except for yesterday. I took a sip of it this morning just to see what would happen and there was a touch of irritation. Either way I am not going to use it at all anymore. It's either the Crystal Light or I caught some kind of a bug.

Anyway, thanks for any information.

i'm pretty sure that crystal light is sweetened with splenda, which a number of people have had stomach issues with. do you have issues with splenda usually?

What she said.

Even if it isn't Splenda, it's some kind of man-made chemical sweetener. I used to have SERIOUS problems with Splenda.

I don't think you need that crap anyways. Not good for you.

Re: Crystal light and Irritable Bowel Syndrome ?

Thanks for the response.

I don't usually have problems with any of the artificial sweeteners (except for whatever is in diet Pepsi; that does kind of the same thing). Hwever I am wondering if it's been fine all this time and it has just caught up with me.

This morning I just sweetened my water with some lemon juice and it was great. No need for any more artificially sweetened drinks.

I am fine with most artificial drinks, but Crystal Light is no man's land for me. It is strange that you are used to drinking it and only just now having problems though.
