Becca,

You work out with Tait and you roll at 10th. So, what's the REAL stuff going on at the UG?

I personally don't have any real care about the drama (troll job or not), but I hope you can relay to your compatriots that it's exactly that kind of thing that keeps a lot of more interesting people (like real fighters) away the board.

That being said, I have a ton of respect for Eddie and his direction in sub grappling, but all of this ancillary stuff clutters that vantage from time to time.

Hey there, Luke - thanks for expressing your concern. I don't really care to comment on the situation publicly, except to say that I most definitely have a difference of opinion on appropriate 'marketing' in comparison to some of the other folks at 10th Planet.

Tait got robbed. He has one new fan after that performance. I wish he would have won or atleast got one more round.

I think the judges were distracted by Amber and Rachelle ... cause they weren't watching the same fight I saw on tv!

That match deserved a 3rd round. However, Tait is not ready for the UFC. Liddel, Ortiz and even Shamrock would beat him easily.

I think Tait did well but on the feet he did not look like the aggressor to an untrained eye. You have to remember these are judges that really don't understand the sport. All they saw was Tait didn't get a takedown really and his opponent was comming at him hard. His opponent (can't remember the guys name) to an unskilled eye may have looked like he was pushing the fight and being more aggressive. I think Tait will do well but needs more time training. He had the opportunity to take the back a few times and didn't do it and while the opponent was throwing those wild punches he really should have just ducked and shot a double. The opponent had so much weight and force behind those wild punches that he wouldn't have been able to sprawl on a double leg attempt.

Bobby - nobody from TUF from any season would have been ready for Tito or Chuck while they were on the show. Forrest is lucky Tito was injured, quite frankly, for their fight.

As far as Tait's fight goes, I was frustrated it didn't go to a third round and I do think it's indicative of having ignorant judges. Dalby Shirley is a joke. He has a bad reputation even in boxing, much less in MMA, which is a sport he clearly doesn't understand.

I really feel for the guys on the show - with the environment they're in and the pressure they're under, it's a wonder they can perform decently at all. We never see the best of any of these guys in these fights.

And I won't even get into what a waste of a coach Shamrock is...

Becca -

You are right on. There should have been a 3rd round. It was a good match up of contrasting styles. I was actually surprised that Tait did not have a stand up game. Just from his build I thought he would (Kendall).

I am sure we will be seeing more of Tait - he is on all of commercials. He will probably be an under card on the finale or something

I thought taits standup looked way better then everyone was describing it as. Dana, ken, tito all made it sound as though tait couldn't throw punches or kick, but he was landing good knees from the clinch and being more aggressive. It should have went to a third round, but when you leave it to the judges anything can happen.
