Tonight I managed to mis-time a hang clean during warmup with the bar, smashing the bar into my chin at the top of the pull and chipping a tooth. Can someone please tell me I am not the only one to have been this stupid!!

The irony was that I had just finished explaining to a non-crossfitter that O-lifts are very safe if done properly:-)

Matt it must be a brisbane thing, one of the girls who was on the oly-lifting coaching course did the same thing a few weeks before hand.
Your not the only one.

Off topic. Are you coming down to watch the indoor rowing saturday? My 500m race is at 11am and 2000m at 2pm. I'll bring that ab mat down for you if your going to be there.

Fiona

Thrusters.

(Twice!)

One of the CFHQ Fight Gone Bad videos shows Dave Leyes (I think; the monster athlete in many of the exercise demo videos) do this.

Push jerk here once, and thruster once. Didn't chip my tooth, but messed up my WOD time. I bet my wife wishes my tongue would have been in there.

By the way matt.Ive done it once on thrusters it made such a noise the other guy in the gym thought i had collected the rack. Didn't chip teeth (front ones arn't real anyway after head butting a car while riding my bike. But did leave nasty bruise.

It would be cool to meet Garry, guys at Kyokushin will be green.

Haven't hit chin yet but nailed my throat on the deadlift high pulls doing Fight Gone Bad. Felt like somebody was trying to choke me for the next three days and totally lost my voice for a week - must have bruised my voice box.
