Equipment in Canada

I am attempting to buy a few things for my garage gym... I need a bar, bumper plates, timer, rack.... not a ton of stuff, just the basics.

I know Rouge Canada sells everything, and so far I am set on making my first purchase from them very very soon.

But are there any other shops out there anyone can recommend?

Re: Equipment in Canada

I would only support Rogue For this one. I have yet to find a single place in Canada aside from Rogue that sells equipment of that quality (And at that price). Plus their customer service in general is outstanding so I would never take my business elsewhere. That is just my opinion, I am not saying there aren't businesses that sell quality in Canada, I am just saying I have yet to find one close to Rogue-Caliber. I know Ottawa is especially awful for quality product.

Stick with Rogue, it is physically impossible to be disappointed with them.

I have purchased things as low as T-Shirts and HG Collars and as high as
280kg worth of Comp Bumpers/ Black Jack Bar
and my experience has always been the same. That truly shows that the Customer is what is valued not the Dollar Sign attached with them.

Sincerely,
-Loyal Rogue Customer.

Re: Equipment in Canada

there are a few places around that sell similar products, but the product isnt the same caliber or price. I dont want to spend a fortune, but dont want to buy garbage either.

Rouge is where I think I will buy my stuff. I just wanted to throw this out there and see if there was anywhere else.

Thanks everyone...

Re: Equipment in Canada

Rogue Canada is by far my favorite. The equipment lasts is amazing and no customs taxes. The only issue, is you have to wait 2-4 weeks for delivery (because they don't stock much at the edmonton warehouse and they only ship out of the US on Friday it takes 1 week to get to Edmonton) (but last time I checked, they had rogue wood rings (not FIG) and the rogue bar in stock). Im in Calgary and I usually get my stuff 3-4 weeks after I place in my order.

fitnesstown.ca, has great prices for Hi-Temp bumpers, Pendlay econ bumpers and Pendlay bars. However, the heavier the purchase the more you'll play in shipping.

Another place is "go-mango", but I think they are only located in Alberta. But they sell alot of commercial grade equipment, for a pretty good price. They supply a bunch of equipment to world health and gold gyms. I came pretty close to buying 160lbs coloured bumper set from them for $380.

My final recommendation is: I will almost always choose to go with rogue, unless I really don't want to wait for shipping.

Re: Equipment in Canada

I was talking to a neighbour, and he has family in MI. He goes back and forth every 4-5 weeks. He suggested I order from Rogue US and drop ship to his family's place in MI.

I compared the prices between Rogue Can and Rogue US.... $93 (incl ship. and eqpt.) difference SO i am going to order from Rogue US, drop ship to buddies place in MI... spend the same amount, but get more stuff!

I havent even placed my first order, but already have the next order planned...lol.

Re: Equipment in Canada

Bells of steel is pretty good, they are based out of Calgary and have a wide selection of kettlebells, bumper plates and have some strongman and Powerlifting equipment as well. I bought my prowler, farmer walk implements, sled and hex bar from them for reasonable prices.
Take a look
