Max Rower Wattage

Not sure if this is posted in the right forum. At my gym today we are doing a CF Endurance WOD from a little while back. Goal is to find max wattage. You have 45 seconds to bring the rower up to a cruising speed and then have 8 pulls to try and hit your maximum wattage, rest a minute, repeat for 7 more intervals. Was just curious if anyone has ever done max wattage on the rower. I hit 915 watts, not sure how that compares, would love to hear from others. Cheers.

Re: Max Rower Wattage

If you go to the Concept2 forums you'll see that many folks have their best rowing stats listed including something called LP. That stands for Low Pull, i.e. the fastest rate per 500m that can be sustained for at least a couple of pulls.
http://www.c2forum.com/

For example, someone named BradL lists these stats:

LP 1:12
100m 15.2
500m 1:26.4
2k 6:56.6
5k 18:50.2
10k 39.52.2
46 years old, 215 lbs

Your 917 watts calculates out to a LP of 1:12.5

Re: Max Rower Wattage

Lincoln, thanks for the link, I'll check it out. Conversion makes sense, my 500m is 1:26.4 as well, although I'm a good bit smaller at 5'10" and 185lbs.

Yep, you can train and eat to be heavier but you can't train to be taller.
