Recovering from Dysentery

I'm a CF/ CFE'er on deployment in the US Navy and I somehow managed to catch dysentery. I'm about over it now, after a few days in the ICU, about a dozen IV's and a metric ton of medicines.
I'm just contemplating how long I should wait until I get back into it.... Any ideas or experiences would help. I was planning on waiting until next week but I'm just itching to get back in the gym, but I don't wanna hurt myself. I figured I'd start light and work up but I just wanted some more info...

Thanks,
One Sailor

Definitely ask your doctor.

If you do start up again, take is slow initially, and make sure you're eating enough to fuel the workouts AND that you're body is actually retaining the food instead of... well... you know...
