Free stuff

I showed up at the office today, took out the trash to the dumpster, looked in and what do I see? A 7' olympic bar. And several York 45 pound plates. A little digging revealed a whole lot more plates; being the cheapskate that I am, I scrounged the bar and 290 pounds of York plates. Looks like somebody gave up on their fitness program cause there were also a step machine and one of those useless piston-type rowers in there.

Cool.. I love to find stuff. It was move out day for a lot of people last of July here. Done some serious diving. No workout stuff (in the past there was, people hate to move heavy stuff), but got a 19 inch tv and a bunch of other stuff...

You see, you can outfit a gym cheaply. Just have to know where to look. I'm looking to add some more O bars to our gym. Any suggestions where I should look Bob?

Real story...

I was at an unnamed used equipment store talking to the boss. We went in back. There was a 55 galon drum stuffed with bars and a dozen home machines (some Nortitracks no concepts), stacks of plates in one corner. I said wow I though you had enough bars up front (in the store). He said well all that stuff was FREE. People bring it in an when he tells them he cant buy it, he already has a bunch. They ask him if they could just leave it......
