For the last 4 weeks i've been doing mostly weightlifting and have just got back to the point where my hip flexors are not constantly trashed so that I can do some CF conditioning.
Anyway it's now off season for O lifting here and the coaches at our gym are in conditioning mode.
All I can say is thank heavens for the CF work i've done this year. Even though i'm a long way behind the rest of the guys in strength my conditioning seems to be holding up to the pukie inducing workouts.
load bar to 70% of max clean.
5 reps full clean
5 reps clean pull
5 reps Deadlift (no rest between exs)
swap with a partner and recover while they do the same thing, repeat 3 times
then the same deal with
5 reps mil press
5 reps push press
5 reps jerk (look familiar anyone!)
5 reps full snatch with 50%
5 reps snatch pull
5 reps snatch DL
at the end i was struggling to do 5 reps of snatch grip DL with 30kg!!!!!
My workout partner collapsed on the platform and one of the girls met pukie for the second time this week!
At the end I was the only one smiling
