Anybody have a good CF injury story? I put together a blender today that included jumps to a 32 inch tall box. During the second set of jumps I went high enough but not quite far enough and on the way down I caught my left shin just a bit above my ankle. Felt like getting whacked there with the edge of a 4 x 4 post. I didn't want to mess up my time so I kept going but that next jump was nerve-wracking...as was every jump after that. No more misses. The clean and jerks made me nervous because I knew that rubbing the knurling across my wound would probably drop me on the spot. I have a huge swollen, bleeding lump with a 1" wide 2" long strip of skin missing that was hanging on the corner of the box. Four hours later now and it is still throbbing.

Yeah, I did that coming off of a pullup bar 2 months ago. It still hasn't healed. I'm going to have a gnarly hole in my shin for the rest of my life.

Painstorm just gone, cleaned the bar straight into my mush and split my lip...

Was doing pullups a while back and dropped off, got my foot caught behind the frame and face planted into the ground and ragged my shin to bits on the metal grips...

erm....that's about it so far....doesn't have to be fun to be fun.....right??:crazy:

Last week. Rep 43 of 45 on Diane's deadlifts, I felt something "pull" in the wrong place. In typical male fashion, and in the interest of making sure I was, indeed, injured... One more lift.

Dumped the weight. Fell to the ground.


I can put my socks on all by myself now, though.

Bizarrely, I managed to pull a muscle in my neck about a month and half ago whilst doing ring pull-ups. Plus I've whacked myself on the chin with the bar during the "jerk" portion of a clean-and-jerk. Other than that, I have thankfully remained injury-free.

peter i have also caught my chin doing jerks. felt like a good uppercut. i am sure we are not alone in that one though.

I ripped a huge chunk of meat off the back of my left thumb bailing from a clean, about 2 weeks ago! I still don't know how this happened. I still have a giant, deep, scab.

Had all the pads/calluses on both my hands tear loose from their anchors and slide about a half inch forward simultaneously once while doing a 1-1-1-1-1 deadlift WOD. The skin grew back in a week, but I lost months of good callus.

The worst I have done so far is smash my damn pinkie between a couple kettlebellz and the following week jammed my pointer finger on same hand doing Dball slams. Still can feel both months later. My friends think I am crazy cause I always have some sort of bruise, callus tear, ripped off nail or something...and I dont knock it out full time like some of you out there. All injuries worn with pride!
