Get a kick out of these questions from the Hard Gainer journal. These questions show me the folly of focusing on body aesthetics vs. athletic performance.
1. I don't seem to be making progress and I believe that I may be overtrainng. I work out twice a week but train each bodypart once per week. My workouts usually last about 30 minutes. Am I doing too much? Should I cut back to just one workout per week?
2. What do you think of the pullover as an exercise? Is it a pushing or pulling movement?
3. I recently cut carbohydrates out of my diet. Could this be why I now feel weak and tired when I try to train hard?
4. What do you think of working calves?
5. I do presses and one-arm rows, but my rear delts are not growing like the front and side heads. Maybe the rear won't get as big as the other sections? What should I do?
6. I was wondering what you think of the super weight-gainer drinks. Some boast to have 2000 or more calories per drink. Is it possible for the body to effectively consume all these calories at once?
7. Do you think that dips are enough for my chest?
8. When I do close-grip benches, should I use the standard two-second pause at the chest like I do my regular benches, or should I just do stop-and-go reps?
