Question Health Care?

Owners, what are you, your families and employees doing for health care/health insurance?

Just one more obstacle between leaving a steady job and opening an affiliate. I'd love to know how some of you are dealing with it. Does Crossfit HQ offer a group plan? Are you among the great uninsured? Private insurance? What group? What is it costing you?

Thanks, you're great!

Charles

Re: Health Care?

Whatever else you do, if you're in the US please pay attention to the current health care debate and send INFORMED feedback to your representatives. In my experience -- owner of a small business, though not a CF affiliate -- the need for affordable health insurance is a HUGE obstacle for entrepreneurs of all kinds.

To avoid descending into a political debate, I'm not going to comment on the proposals being made except to say that there's an enormous amount of misinformation out there, much of it being spread by people who profit from the status quo. Do your own research, please.

Re: Health Care?

I was self-employed for nine years and had to deal with the insurance issue. Check with your local Chamber of Commerce (if your area has one). Often they offer group plans to their members that are cost effective when compared to setting up a very small group plan / individual plan.
