Vasa Trainer

I am a surfer who lives in Florida which is obviously sub-optimal. To keep my paddling strength up for CR, Mexico, Hawaii trips I bought a Vasa Swim Trainer from an ad in the back of Surfer Magazine. www.vasatrainer.com That's all fine and good, and it works as long as you set the damper high(5+ with 7 being optimal). What's really cool in incorporating into WODs. One day I didn't get to the gym to do Helen and subbed the rowing with the Vasa trainer. I did half the distance. Holy Schnikes! I was fried. I would love for HQ to play around with this device. I made a Surfer WOD.

3 rounds for Time

Paddle 100m
25 Surfing Burpees(jump into your riding stance out of plank and then jump up)
12 Pull-ups

Re: Vasa Trainer

hmmm.... I would have to try one before dropping 1.7k on it.
why is it not in more gyms? It does seem to have enough diversity of poss exercises.
