WODs for Bad Backs

I got a lower back injury after doing CFT one day.
After 3 months, it feels better, but it starts hurting again whenever I try OLY lifts.

My WODs in the past couple of months have been Cindy, Chelsea, and combos of running (400 mts), push ups, pull ups, air squats. I am looking for a little more variety.

Any suggestions of WODs for the lower-back-challeged?

Jorge;

How about: forget the WOD's and fix your back.

Both sites are w/f/s site : http://ditillo2.blogspot.com/2008/06...ill-starr.html

along with Coach Rips site as to fixing a back problem.

You can thank me later.

Re: WODs for Bad Backs

That's good advice.
I started with Bill Starr's prescription.

Thanks!

Re: WODs for Bad Backs

About Bill Starr's program, figure a guy could do hip or back extensions on a GHD instead of good mornings? I am not 100% on how to do those and am more comfortable doing/teaching the hip or back extensions...

Re: WODs for Bad Backs

Not sure.
I am trying to learn the proper good morning as well. Bill Starr's prescription:

"Round your lower back and do not let your hips go lower once you have set your position."

However, most vid demonstrations insist on having the back locked and not rounding.

Also, Starr recommends, "Bend the knees slightly and then lean your upper body forward and try to place your chest on your thighs."

Demonstrations show that the upper body bends down only to about parallel to the ground rather than going below that as far as you can.

Perhaps these are not problems when just using a broom stcik and doing 75 reps?

Re: WODs for Bad Backs

That's what had me confused as well... was sort of described as the opposite of what I know to be default proper form... (in general anyway)
