Any Crossfitters in Japan?

Hi all,

I'm moving to Japan to teach English for a year, starting this August. I'm located in a relatively isolated prefecture--Tottori prefecture, in a town called Yazu.

Huuuuge longshot here, but does anybody know of crossfit or just plain know anybody in the area? I'm a few hours Northwest of Kyoto and Osaka, and something like 8 hours West of Tokyo (and more than a few hours Northeast of Hiroshima). I'm near the northern coast of southern central Japan.

Hey Matt, going on JET? You'll be in a beautiful area. I visited there last year. Be sure to check out the sand dunes, pear museum, and Amanohashidate (look at the "bridge to heaven" between to you legs!)

I got one of my buddies into CF. I suggest you do the same. Find a gym with free weights and/or a park or some other place that allows you to do as many CF exercises as possible. Buy some rings now to bring with you. It will add mightily to your arsenal. Be flexible and sub.
