When can you catch a cold or flu from someone. The first 24hrs, the whole time they have the cold, or some time between the beginning and the end?

Thanks

Joe

Depending upon the condition the person can be shedding virus (contagious) for several days. Keep in mind that recently getting over a cold or the flu can GREATLY increase an individuals succeptability to Rhabdo. Ease back in very carefuly.

Thought I'd contribute this bit from one of the founders of Naturopathic Medicine, Henry Lindlahr, as to the origins of dis-ease (colds and flus, too ):

Mr. Wolf can you elaborate a little bit? What is Rhabdo? I looked it up but i get lost in all the scientific terminology. Could you just explain it in simple terms and how it relates to working out?

Hey Matt, check out CF journal issue 38 for a good understanding of what rhabdo is about (rhabdomyolysis).

Part of the trouble is that often a person is contagious before they know or you know they're sick. Simple behaviors (frequent hand washing, covering when you cough, STAYING HOME when you feel something coming on, getting enough rest) can make the difference.
