Any relation between Alternate Foot Step jump rope and POSE technique?

I'm a beginner to the POSE technique of running and have been getting back into the jump roping. After reading up a little on POSE from the Dec CF journal and looking at Buddy Lee's site on alternate foot step jumping is there a comparison between the technique of the two?

POSE teaches the foot to push off driving the knee/leg up and not backwards while alternate foot step jumping recommends not kicking the feet back as It will cause them to catch on the rope. Could alternate foot jump roping be an adequate tool to teach POSE?

Re: Any relation between Alternate Foot Step jump rope and POSE technique?

From what I understand, rope jumping helps to teach some very important POSE concepts.
  1. Landing on the ball of the foot
  2. Being "light on the feet"
  3. Utilizing stored elastic energy in the musculoskeletal system for propulsion
Dr. Romanov (POSE creator) is a big fan of jumping rope. To read more on this, look to his previous articles on WFS .
