Did ladder pullups with a friend until we each reached 100 total:

1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-10-11-11-1-2-3-4-5-6-2

Did 77 strictly following ladder structure, up from 60 last time this WoD came up. Most were supinated (and all of the first 66 were), few pronated, and some perpendicular (two handles, not a bar).
Meant to do failure on the last set, to surpass 100 total, but 2 was failure so...

In sum it took 18:06 (6 seconds was when I did my last one, though I tried for more after that).

Incline, Decline, and Front Squats today. With a set of 20+ pullups thrown in for good measure:

I'm just beginning each of these, since I only had a flat bench for the summer, and no squat cage. But I really surprised myself with how much is carrying over to the assistance lifts. Plus it was tons of fun to change the angle a little...

My 140 pound friend did it in 13:30 (I'm 192). In retrospect, I don't think I used my weight advantage on the rowing, because while 2:00 was easier for me, it didn't directly save me any time. And I had to deadlift 55 pounds more than he did, so my weight hurt me on the deads."

Did some cleanup on level Is today instead of the long row I had planned:

10 Knees to chest (sitting)
15 hanging knees to elbows
21 55lbs dumbbells swings (each arm, just in case)

Then a little (emphasis on little) front squatting:
8/135
5/185 (PR)
1/225 (PR)

Also, I'm wicked psyched because I think it's all systems go for my residential college to acquire bumper plates! I had to lobby the college council, which didn't have the funds, but my Master picked the item up for (probably) part of her budget. I can't wait!

Just noticed that level I is 25 swings, but I'm calling it good. It wouldn't have made a difference.

1/285 (just missed, my spotter stepped in a little before I was ready for him to, but it's okay)

Also, my weight today was down slightly, to 189 with clothes on, so I'm guessing at ~187 lbs for just me... which means my 280 was ~1.5 * BWT. CFN Level IV here I come, or am, depending on how generous you are!

Now I'm cutting flat bench for a while, in order to work on incline/decline/military press/weighted dips/pushups (high reps). Also, I need to shift the focus of my lifting back to squat/deadlift/oly (assuming my college does pick up a set of bumpers).

Great things ahead!

Today I did a light workout, as I'm planning on Tabata Something Else for tomorrow:

1/2 mi run: 3:19. This is good for Level II in the 800, and Level I in the 400 (average of 1:39.5/400).

Run on a treadmill at 9 mph, but I let it build up speed, so I was at .12 mi at 1:00, and ran until .62 mi, which was at 4:19.

I had originally intended to go to a full mile in 8 minutes, but I called it quits early. TSE will kick my a-- tomorrow, no need to kill myself today.

P.S. I've decided that my volume recently has been a bit low, so I'm going without a rest day until the next one (basically skipping today's rest day.
