Ok, this is pathetic...

I've seen the "perfect pushup" before, but this is ridiculous... I mean, at least the "perfect pushup" couldn't be easily duplicated by a much more useful piece of equipment (probably because the "perfect pushup" isn't a particularly useful piece of equipment, unless you have a wrist injury or something...

This on the other hand...

Re: Ok, this is pathetic...

As long as we have lazy un-fit people on this planet, we'll have stupid gizmos like this. Stuff like this gives people a mental out; an external source of blame for their lack of fitness, since it can't possibly be their fault.

"It's not *my* fault that I can't do a pullup - it's because I haven't been able to try a pullup with natural wrist rotation!"

For only $100, they finally get the chance to prove that they've actually been fit all along, it's their equipment that's been lacking. They'll buy it, try one or two "perfect" (i.e. "jumping") pullups to prove to themselves that they're bad-*** and then let it sit in their doorway so that every person that enters can see just how bad-*** they are.

How is this different from a pair of rings, only...a lot less useful?

Same thought. We can already use rings (which are cheaper and we could make ourselves if need be). The only differences seem to be that rings are cheaper and are better for muscleups.

Re: Ok, this is pathetic...

The most ridiculous statement is "natural wrist rotation." Natural = occurring in nature.

So, how many times has it happened that you've been climbing a tree, and thought: "Boy I'm really glad that this branch has these handles hanging off of them so that my wrists can naturally rotate...jeez I wish they would make some kind of pull up device that replicated this natural wrist rotation so I'm not constantly injuring myself performing straight bar pullups"? Or perhaps while climbing El Capitan: "Man, I'm so happy Mother Nature decided to hang these twisting handles off of this [insert appropriate rock-climbing term here b/c I don't know the first thing about rock-climbing] 1,000 feet off of the ground, if only I had a device that mimicked this natural wrist rotation, aww shucks!"?

I love it.

Don't forget push-ups too, making the Perfect Push-up also obsolete.

I bet our SEAL brethren have an opinion on seeing that proud title used to hawk merchandise, regardless of the quality. You see that inmany catalogs "official SEAL" or "official Ranger" watch/shoe/insert-item-here. I know when I.i see that I am typically 100% certain that I will find few of those people actually using that thing.
