Other Crossfit Forums

Are there any other Crossfit forums that are busier than this one? For how popular Crossfit is, I am kind of blown away at how little traffic I see here. It seems like there should be about 10 times the amount of daily posts as there are.

Re: Other Crossfit Forums

I noticed the same thing. I'm a big fan of forums and some I'm on, non cf, are back and forth all day. I feel like a lot of people have been banned recently.

Re: Other Crossfit Forums

It used to be a lot more lively. I think most of the more frequent posters have either left or been banned by now.

I don't know of any specifically crossfit forums but lots of other forums discuss training in general. Reddit has a pretty good /r/weightroom and /r/Fitness for discussions/info.

Also there are some great groups on facebook like the Starting Strongman group run by Kalle Beck which posts lots of good stuff but with a strongman tilt of course.

Re: Other Crossfit Forums

I am pretty sure they disabled new member registration. Between that and the mass bannings traffic has slowed to a crawl. Disappointing, this was always one of the best resources for fitness advice.

That's for sure.

I guess forums have a lifespan.

Re: Other Crossfit Forums

i am also a huge forums guy and belong to way more forums than i care to admit. i was really hoping that this one would be similar to the actual CrossFit community and be a lot more active and really a place for CrossFitter to hang out, meet and share knowledge. i would open my own CrossFit forum if i could but i am not sure of the legality of it (you probably won't be able to actually use CrossFit in the name).

Well considering no one else can join I would say that ratio isn't going to get much better

Re: Other Crossfit Forums

I used to post a lot more often, but it seems like the past few months there were quite a few new users trolling and ended up taking a lot of our good forum dudes down with them. So some of the fun banter is gone and people are a little more hesitant to make certain jokes or push boundaries, but there are still some guys here that have great info and advice to share. I still check here every night when i get to work and enjoy most of the convo on the bigger threads, i just dont post as much as i used to because, honestly, i like to joke around a lot and dont want to get slapped with a warning or ban.
