Again faster rev rope (older version) ?

Wondering if anyone can help, or maybe someone from again faster can chime in.

I ran into a friend at my box who was using a old version of the rev rope. I noticed it had a thicker cable then a newer version I used to have ( didn't like it, was to light for me)

So I asked him about it. He said he brought it from them 2+ years ago, he said it was a older version and he didn't know if they even still made it.

So I ran home and called AF. The girl I spoke with said the old version would be the same as the current rev rope. I thought "ok wired, but heck I'll try it". So I bought one.

Well it came today.... And it's not the one he had. It was the same as the other one I got. So now I'll have to return it. But does anyone know if I can get one of the older versions? I fell in love with his as soon as I tryed it.

I'm hoping someone from AF will see this and clear it up.

I like jumpnropes myself. Was originally a rogue sr-1 and sr-2 guy till I used theirs for a review.

Here is a link for the review I did

Re: Again faster rev rope (older version) ?

We used to make our Rev Rope in India, but formed a relationship with the folks at Jump N Rope, and now work with them as the exclusive United States-supplier of the Rev Rope and Rev X. The old wire was on the India-manufactured rope.

I hope that helps.

Now, you could always run a hybrid. The Ultra Speed Rope has a thinner, lighter cable, and you're only a pair of wire cutters away from a Revolution Rope with that cable.

That said, I'd encourage you to keep the Revolution Rope, and give it a try. I can say confidently that it's a better product than the old generation, hand-assembled here in the States with better components. It's as fast as they come, and once you have a few hundred doubles under your belt, you'll never miss the feel of your friend's old rope.

Best,
