May 2010, Topped out @ #289, 43, M .. Started Diet, weight bounced around for a year.
June 2011, Started the path to real fitness. With help from Meshelle at Tam CrossFit she set us up with some remote coaching, started us on Paleo and a very basic garage setup. Begin, trying to undo the damage of 20 years of sedentary lifestyle. PR for pushups was 3 in a row... seriously scaling down WoD's.
July 2011, Dealing with tight tendons in calves, calf pain, minor snaps, etc.. realization of terrible mobility sets in. 6 Weeks off running, switch to bike. First minor signs of muscle development.
Aug 2011, Tweak lower back not taking good dead lift form serious, didn't take recovery serious. My chin starts coming back, my real face starts to show from loss of fat.
Sept 2011, Low hip mobility results in back pain during Overhead Squats. Take recovery serious this time, 7 weeks off from back heavy overhead weight, and find a chiropractor. Met a great Chiropractor with CF experience, start serious stretching. Wore XL for the first time in 15 years.
Oct 2011, Depressed, from weeks off heavy wods due to back tweak.. Start concentrating on nutrition. Actually bought some L shirts =).
Nov 2011, #219, (#60 down from peak) Working on mobility, still scaling some skills, can't do a pullup yet, fuuuuuuuuu!!.. (finally a box opens near us!!) Now a member of the freshly open CrossFit Northern Inferno. Will start keeping track of PR's with membership starting Dec 2011.
Short term goals: Prepare to work on more advanced skills, while trying to undo terrible mobility. Setting goal now to being able to do everything as RX'ed, and losing the last bit of the fat tire. and...do a damn pullup.
Long term goals: Become fit =).
