I have just started Crossfit and posting to the message boards. Seems that I am regularly being told about this or that previous journal. I have subscribed and ordered the journal with the beginner workout, but I'm wondering about other journals that I should be getting.

Can anyone recommend some of the most beneficial journals from the past that I should consider ordering?

Thanks!

Jason,

Honestly they are all good. Scroll through the back issues and see what topics pique your interest. You won't regret ordering the CF journal.

Jason,

I agree with John. I have been using CrossFit for over a year now and the Journal is invaluable. I return to them often when I have questions and I learn more each time. INVEST

As far as back issues are concerned I agree with John that different subjects may interest you more. My personal fav's:

Garage Gym - a must for you.
The Moves - good explanations and pics. Most of these were new to me. Invaluable resource.
The Clean - again, had no experience with this lift.
Squat Issue - The nuances of the most basic movement

I could keep listing, but I'll let others have some bandwidth.

Get them all. You can email about bulk discounts. Unbelievably valuable.

Again, get them all if you can. If you want to pick and choose, get the ones detailing the exercises and study them closely.

Jason, when I was "collecting" back issues, I just ordered on or two a fortnight when I got paid. It doesn't cost much to do it that way and I was able to gather the ones of most interest to me earlier on.

Before long, I had them all. Although, emailing for a bulk discount is a good idea also.

Another vote for "buy them all". April 03's article on the CF Warm Up is also a good one.

Thanks for the input everyone. I was looking over the backissue list and it seems like they're all of interest. Guess I'll just have to order them all.
