Awesome...

I don't watch a whole lot of TV and it's normally discovery, nat geo or history channel when I do. But last night "the transporter" was on FX and tonight they have on "the transporter 2". I don't know about you, but Jason Statham movies are awesome and I like any of them.

Re: Awesome...

I thought his movies were entertaining at best (same character every time... same plot pretty much too).... until I saw Crank. It's just... no. Don't see it.

Re: Awesome...

They are fun to watch that's for sure. They aren't exactly great movies. Great movies are along the lines of:

Shawshank Redemption
Braveheart
Lord of the Rings Trilogy
etc....

oh yeah, and Monty Pyton and the Holy Grail

yep.

Re: Awesome...

He's a fit guy and does his own stunts, but I have no idea why they made him do that dreadful American accent for the Transporter flicks. He's not good at it and they could just as easily have made the character English.
The Transporter movies are quite entertaining in a stupid sort of way (the crane/car bomb sequence in T2 made me laugh it was so ridiculous). I wouldn't say Crank was much worse than T2 to be honest.
I would like to see him in a better class of action film, though.

Re: Awesome...

I will agree that they are no Oscar worthy movies and the bomb/car flip scene in T2 is ridiculous, but I still think all of his movies are great for entertainment. Even Crank.

Re: Awesome...

Cyril Rafalli did some of the stunts in one of the Transporter movies. He's a highly accomplished Parkour/freerunner/acrobat. He is amazing.

Re: Awesome...

Didn't you guys see "Revolver" ?

That's a great movie ! Statham is putting something different on the table there.

And of course, "Snatch" remains my favourite.
