i might look at getting a nice commercial mat for putting under my rings. it's gotta be cheaper than a visit to the Emergency Room... or a couple false teeth...

pretty much any type of exercise mat from Walmart/Target/etc should work fine for yoga/stretching

Those thick mats are NICE, real nice. They absorb an incredible amount of shock. That said, unless your going to use them a LOT, with multiple people, an old mattress is a TON cheaper. Not to discourage, like I said they are great. If I had the $$, I'd have a couple:-) That said, man those are nice. Maybe this summer the $$ will come.
