Anyone used the B&R Bar from Rogue?

After reading this thread, http://board.crossfit.com/showthread.php?t=51547, I've decided to sell my backup bar and upgrade to a B&R Barbell. Plan is to use it for slow lifts and WOds that involve a ton of dropping. Then use my other bar (PEndlay Nexgen Needle Bearing Bar) mainly for Oly lifting and some WODs. (Biggest goal is to get it out of the rack, save the knurling)

But before I order I wanted to see if anyone else has used the B&R, and whether it holds up to abuse as well aas the other rogue bars?

It's made by York (not Rogue) and is not a snap ring bar. I think it's 29mm. Good feel, great knurl, perfect for slow lifts.

I would be hard pressed to recommend a better bar for what you plan to do with it.

Re: Anyone used the B&R Bar from Rogue?

I've had mine for almost a year now: I love it. I mainly use it in the rack for squats (because it has the center knurl) and OH work and use my "other" bar for oly stuff. However, I did try it out with cleans a few times when I got it and I thought it had a nice whip to it. I have no experience with the high-dollar bars (Eleiko, etc), so I cant say if it compares. But now you got me wanting to try it again to see how it does....

Also, its started to get that nice patina on it from being exposed to the elements. Looks rough and rugged.

Thanks guys, I'll definitely grab it. Looking forward trying it out, and like the idea of raw steel.
