RIP Navy SEAL Hero Chris Kyle
Had not seen anything on here about this yet but the Author of the book American Sniper retired Navy SEAL Chris Kyle was murdered Saturday afternoon along with his neighbor while helping a former Marine with PTSD.
Truly sad story and sad way to to lose an American Hero. If you haven't read the book you should really let's you know what our troops do for us everyday! |

Re: RIP Navy SEAL Hero Chris Kyle
Still can't believe it. I was at a shooting range yesterday, had a great time. I got to come home. Chris was just trying to help another veteran.
Prayers for his wife and kids. |

I sure hope something positive comes out of this. PTSD needs to be diligently studied and addressed. Very sad.

Re: RIP Navy SEAL Hero Chris Kyle
One can't say PTSD was the motivation behind the murder. It is such a shame that a hero doing the right thing each day was removed from the world. A waste.

Re: RIP Navy SEAL Hero Chris Kyle
I agree don't want to say PTSD was the cause. Chris Kyle was a great American that gave his all for his country then gave his life trying to help the veterans of this country. If more people had half his good characteristics and were more devoted to helping people instead of hurting people this world would be so much better.
His book really made an impact on me. The sacrifices he made for those of us in Amercia are unbelievable. But more than that it gives a clue as to what all other troops go through as well. For all the members of the armed services on this board, Thank You for what you do! |

Re: RIP Navy SEAL Hero Chris Kyle
Why is the Marine that murdered them? Why is PTSD being discussed as a possible cause for this?

Re: RIP Navy SEAL Hero Chris Kyle
Chris Kyle ran a non-profit that worked with returning vets suffering from PTSD. The Marine that murdered him and his neighbor was one of the vets he was working with.

Ah okay got it.
That is a shame to lose someone who did so much for the country and was trying to do even more for others who served. |

Re: RIP Navy SEAL Hero Chris Kyle
I don't want to get political with this at all but I was just reading an article on him and the comments section was littered with anti-gun advocates touting the (in their words in particular) the "poetic justice" of him dying by the gun by his fellow serviceman. I nearly lost it. We're losing our humanity. Figured I'd share this thought on a board where there seems to be a shred left.
