I noticed that some Crossfits have classes that are an hour in length. In a post a while back some people stated that they often just do the WOD. During those 1 hours classes are you doing the WOD just dragging it out or are you adding warmups, cooldowns and stretching etc. Thanks for everything.

Yeah, warmup & stretch. Also any or all of the following:
-Technique work (low loads, no timer, just work on perfect form) -Skills practice -Focused work on weak areas or rehab needs or personal goals (or working toward the latest CF challenge) -Talk with other people about training and nutrition stuff I'm sure that's only a partial list, but maybe it gives you some ideas for starters. And I didn't even mention things like showing off, heckling (uh, I mean encouraging) others, or just playing. |

Jason,
I doubt anyone who understands CrossFit is dragging out the WOD. Our classes are 1/2 an hour. That's not counting the warm up, which I recommend people do on their own before the class starts. On Saturday, we often stay a half hour afterwards to work on skills, play Hoover Ball or go down to the creek bed to throw heavy stuff. So while the "class" is a half hour we are often warming up and playing for another half hour to forty five minutes. |

Ron - I think we are going to something like that here at HQ in March. You should come. It isn't a bad drive and Southwest Airlines are pretty cheap!

Yay! Now if I can convince the family it's just a normal Saturday drive. Nothing to fear, just a drive. . .400 miles to Santa Cruz!
Ramona may be a better idea for now, then SC in the spring! |

Mike,
The door is always open for you, and there is always enough suffering to go around. |

The suffering is like the loaves and fishes in the parable:When everyone had had their fill, there were still two baskets of leftovers (paraphrase) :proud:
It would be awesome to have you and Cody (and/or Beau) down on a saturday, Coach B! |
