I have a friend I would like to expose to CF but he had both hips replaced 21 years ago. He has been advised by his doctor not to do execises which put too much of a force on his hips. (I don't know how advanced the technology was when he had the procedure)

He has been riding a bike and lifting weights for his upper body. Any suggestions as to how he might best be exposed to CF methodologies?

Thanks, Greg

I'm going to go out on a limb here and guess that he's still able to get off the toilet after going #2. If he is, then a qualified instructor should check his squat form, sans weight, to make sure he's doing it correctly. There may be some depth limitations due to his hardware, but he should be able to get the movement down. Within a few sessions/weeks he should be ready for Tabata hell.

It'd be a place to start.
