I was progressing nicely both in the WODs and body comp. Eating around 20 blocks a day and 2x fat.

I'm accustomed to taking a week off every 8-10 weeks or so, and it's been well over 14-15 weeks at this point... I also decided to boost the protein blocks and lower the carb blocks to 14.

Been doing it for a few weeks now and i've noticed a decline in performance, at least mentally and slight increase in body fat.

What might this be attributed to..

How long has the change lasted? I am suspect of increased bodyfat if it has been less then say two weeks. Why did you lower the carbs and boost the protein? To me these read as the direct cause of your decline in performance. This could be just the way the post was worded though.

maybe back off the micromanagement a bit. just relax, do a couple hard metcon days, get some good sleep and days off and let your body take care of the rest.

if your performance hasn't dropped off, just ignore the change. If its dropped, why not try a couple more days off?

hope that helps.
