Hey guys,

I had to do kind of an improv workout today, since the football team dominated the benches. Anyhow, I was REALLY impressed with my jump on squats (175 with perfect form, and I felt like I might be able to do 185).

But when I went to do deadlifts, my form started slipping (and fast) at 185. I just couldn't keep my lower back straight. Is there any advice you guys can give me to help me move past it?

if your back is the wink link in DLs and your legs are relatively strong, work stiff-legged DLs, good mornings and the like.

Could you post a link to what a good morning is? I've heard of it, but I've never seen an example. Thanks!

No, but here's a description and video of a stiff-legged deadlft:

Exactly the same movement, but for the GM, place the bar on your shoulders as you work for a back squat.
