Re: Cfcc Bccc 2010

Day 1 completed.
Day 2 plan is set.
I feel good about this. My only concern is falling in to the rut of eating the samething every day. I fell a major cooking marathon is in order this weekend.

Re: Cfcc Bccc 2010

Here are my initial stats:
Height: 5'7"
Weight: 135 lbs
Waist: 26
Right arm flexed: 11.67 in
Right arm relaxed: 10.5 in

20%
Lean Body Mass: 108 lbs

Daily Target:
Protein: 108g
Carbs: 120g
Fats: 54g
Calories: 1,398

Here is the link to my food journal:
http://fitday.com/fitness/PublicJour...er=sydneysolow

Totals for Monday 8/9:
Protein: 106 (including pre and post workout protein)
Cars: 78 (42 under goal)
Fats: 12 (42 under goal)
Calories: 846 (552 under goal)

Today was my first day of work and I found it very difficult to incorporate the appropriate nutrients into my diet. I was provided both breakfast and lunch during the orientation session and did my best to choose the best options. As it turns out, I didn't eat enough. I think it will be easier if I prepare and bring my own food. I felt pretty good during back squats but need to make sure I am closer to my daily goals in the next few days.

Re: Cfcc Bccc 2010

So day 1 went pretty well...was a bit short on the pound of green veggies, and short on fat...I really need to eat more fat.

My Daily Goal:

PRO: 84-105 grams
CHO: 120 grams +25 or +35 if working out, depending on WOD
FAT: 50-52.5 grams

Monday 8/9/10

PRO: 99 grams
CHO: ~120 +25 pre WOD
FAT: 35-ish

So, I don't have a fit day account, so you get my food here...

Breakfast:

Fage yogurt + 1/2 cup blueberries and some cinnamon
2 eggs scrambled in a tiny bit of butter
1/2 cup rolled oats
6oz broccoli
coffee with cream

Lunch (at internship today, which means short rushed lunch):
4 1/2oz grilled chicken
1 cup sweet potato 'pie'
~6oz spinach (didn't get a chance to finish all 9 oz)
1oz carrots (didn't get a chance to finish all 3 oz)
a few sips of coffee with cream (less than 4 oz I would guess, maybe only 2)

'Snack'
2oz carrots (I was starving by 5:30 when driving home)

Pre-WOD:
8oz rice milk + whey (20g PRO)

Post-WOD:
Casein, 20g PRO

So good overall...thankfully while posting this, I realized that I need more green stuff in my food for tomorrow...time to go pack some more food!

Re: Cfcc Bccc 2010

Day 1 of official BCCC! I'm glad I played around with numbers last week so I had an idea of what to eat. I packed a great lunch for work today, which I then left in the fridge... Despite that, my numbers weren't too bad.

Calories: 1,470
Protein 111.1g (-4g)
Carb 134.2g (-10g counting the pre-work out carbs)
Fat 57.7g (on target)

http://fitday.com/fitness/PublicJour...wner=juniperkd

I do find that I've been eating a lot of the same foods every day, but it does make it easier to cook in bulk and just portion stuff out. That said, I'm sure I'll have to mix it up a bit at some point so it doesn't get too monotonous.

I also discovered that Trader Joe's has a FANTASTIC crunchy, unsalted almond butter - great on its own or with some slices of apple

Re: Cfcc Bccc 2010

Day 1!
Today went pretty well, protein and carb totals were around where I want them to be, need to watch out for fat sneaking in everywhere (coconut oil is just too delicious!). Definitely succeeded in eating more of everything - may need to make breakfast/dinner bigger and lunch smaller, as I'm not too hungry during the day, was pretty full from lunch today. Haven't had a chance to start whey protein or fish oil... will hopefully do this soon. Back squats went really well today, 125x5 and my previous max was 135x1 not too long ago, sooooo somethings working . Anyways here's what I ate...

Breakfast
Smoothie with raspberries, blueberries, a banana, cherries, greek yogurt & soy milk
Scrambled eggs (2) with red onion, cherry tomatoes, and spinach

Lunch
1 cup chicken salad with almonds, grapes, mayo and red onions
4.5 oz raw cauliflower
2 'pancake' things (ha) - taste like banana bread to me, the mix had 2 bananas, 1 tbsp almond butter and 1 egg in it and made about 8 small pancakes

Snack
1 oz turkey jerky

Dinner
5.5 oz baked tilapia with cherry tomatoes, capers, lemon juice
5 oz sweet potato cooked in coconut oil
3/4 cup cauliflower mash
grapes

Also, water at every meal and throughout the day.

Total calories: 1732.7
Total fat: 88.3g (+27.5g)
Total carbs: 127.1g (in the 120 - 150 range so okay by me)
Total protein: 132.2g (+10.2g)

On to day 2...

Re: Cfcc Bccc 2010

weight 107 lbs
estimated body fat 30%-not sure if this might be a bit of a high estimate
LBM75 lbs
Needs 50 grams FAT
120 grams CHO +20-30
75 grams PRO

today's haul http://www.fitday.com/fitness/FoodLo...ate=1281312000.

PRO +10
FAT -1.8
CHO -57.8

Obviously, i drastically underestimated my ability to get in the needed amount of CHO eating only whole foods. I'm feeling that deficit now, with some brain fog. Happy that i was able to stay on point with PRO/FAT.
