Speed/Acceleration

Anybody working with younger clients 14 y/o for improving speed. I feel it is acceleration training for sports ( Lax ) . Any tips on programming pre and in season would be great . Females Lax team - most have decreased flex in hams and imbalance of anterior chain strength to posterior -recipe for disaster for ACL's. Using squats/box jumps/sled pulling/GHD exc. and barefoot running /pose tech

Squats, deadlift (for lower back tightness), running drills (bounds, triple jumps, the lower 2 levels of plyometrics), Power versions of the oly lifts.

Squats with bands and/ or chains (this teaches them to accelerate to avoid the extra gravity on the bar) as well as tying a band to an upright and sprinting against the band's resistance...
