Thanks for the response. That's what I was planning on doing, but I wasn't sure how sturdy it'd be, so I appreciate finding out the easy way! Thanks.

Anytime man! So far not even a chip out of the platform with well over 1000 drops onto it.

Re: My Garage Gym Project

Really impressive setup. Are the rings a little cramped inside the rack? I'm curious why you didn't set them up outside of it. Looks like you have plenty of space.

It Might be hard to see. If you look above the Rack you can see a framed cut out box in the ceiling. I made an increased height of the ceiling at that point to allow my body to go above the bars for chest to bar pullups and Muscle Ups. In terms of Muscle Ups, they work well for me (Other than the fact I end up doing them starting from knees, pulling self up and transitioning through- I find it harder than having the adequate space since you can't use any momentum)...at full extension (Chest to bar or MU's), I am about 1-2 inches from bumping my head (Perfect adjustment out of a random estimation for depth when constructing it). I originally had a studbar but due to the fact that there is a bedroom above the garage, we needed a dropped ceiling for a portion of the garage to allow for insulation and warmth for the room above (Meaning there are no firm points to anchor to). In some of the pictures you can see there is not a dropped ceiling at the entire front of the garage. This part goes up about 12 feet (It is where I use my Wallball in winter. In the summer I have a basketball net with hoop removed outside). My plan (When the Rogue Ring Hanger and the New Rings come) is to find the studs in the non-dropped ceiling and put in my ring setup there which will surely allow for perfect heights for Muscle Ups. I also want to hook up my rope climb there and have a 12' rope climb where I start from laying down on my back. I will have to do this until My trees get a little larger. Hope this helps.

-Matt
